April 8, a staff was trying to drive a Bus Metro Transit (BMT) in Zhejiang PanGood Power Technology Co., Ltd.. The wheel-side independent suspension driving system developed by PanGood is applied in this bus.
The Zhejiang PanGood Power Technology Co., Ltd. Located in Lanxi economic development zone is the 2018 major industrial project in Zhejiang Province. The electric assembly – the core product of PanGood is composed of new axial magnetic field motors, vehicle drive controllers and chassis suspension system, which provides a small-sized, light-weight and high-efficiency electric driving system for new energy vehicles. This bus with PanGood wheel-side driving system has broken the convention of performance and design. It is the technology that has changed the tradition. So, what's the differences between BMT and traditional bus?
BMT is the bus with a metro-style environment. The difference can be found when you first get on the bus. The traditional bus has two steps by the door. However, this bus has a flat floor and no steps. It uses a low floor so that passengers can get on the bus just in one step. The rear of the bus does not have the steps either. The overall view is much emptier than the traditional bus. And the designs of flat floor, no steps, and large passageway are all similar to metro, so as to provide people a more comfortable environment.
These designs are advantage of BMT, but the real 'futuristic tech' is the Pangood wheel-side independent suspension driving system applied for the vehicle. According to introduction, comparing with other pure electric products with the same length of 8-10-meters, the BMT's weight is 2 tons lighter than that electric buses with the same mileage, motor efficiency reaches double 90%, and the power consumption is reduced by 20%. Meanwhile, the 8-meters-long BMT is as much effective passenger space as 10-meters-long bus. And the BMT has a smaller size and less energy consumption than traditional bus.
Sage Lu, General manager officer of Zhejiang Pangood Power Technology Co., Ltd., told: “The BMT uses Pangood axial flux motor, which has shorter axial size and lighter weight, and the PanGood independent suspension wheel-side driving system integrating reduction gearbox, controller, four-airbag suspension and electronic differential is 700 to 800kg lighter than traditional driving system, four-bag air suspension is more stable and has a longer life.
“Because our motor is lighter and smaller, it will innovate the electric driving system, which makes interior layout bigger and reduces energy consumption. In addition to vehicles, our products will revolute in some industry electric drive as well.” Sage said.
